I'm very happy to be back at work on my current middle grade mystery. I've made a lot of changes to my plot, hopefully adding more suspense and interest.
I should of had this book finished a year ago. I've let so many things interrupt me. Anyway, after my time off, I feel refreshed and ready to get on with it.

I'm always thinking about it, Cathy. So, what else can I do? *smile*

Hi MB!
I'm changing a ton of things, although the main plot will be the same. I think it is really improving.
Of course you can read it...if I can read Cukes. Ha Ha, I think they call that bribery. I'm pretty sure your excerpt is as far as I got a long time ago.

Good for you. I sometimes find that a few months off is not a bad thing. It's better to be ready to move forward than to fight to move forward.

Hi Holly! Yeah, a little break here and there is necessary once in a while. But I let more time slip by than I wanted. Now I have a lot to make up for.

You'll write all the better and faster for having taken time off; at least that's how it works for me. I have to go back and read what I've written before, though to avoid contridictions--did the villain have a beard? --Or startomg the next scene in the castle kitchen, leaving the reader wondering how protagonist evaded the villains's attempt to dump her off the top of the watchtower? That sort of thing.

Enjoy your writing; be well, be productive.
