Well, I finally buckled down and got my rear in gear. I wrote a new first chapter for Some Rain Must Fall. It's totally different from the way it used to be, in fact it is 20 years prior to my protagonist's birth.
Stephen Barbara said it needs more tension, so I'm hoping I've accomplished that.
Anyone interested in trading a chapter? I really need other eyes.
Just give me a shout.

Are you gonna post it for the group? Goodness knows we've all been super quiet lately!

Hi Sandra,
Where have you been? Are you still on cloud nine?
Robin gave me an excellent critique and I'm applying her suggestions, so is it okay if I send you the revised copy in a day or two? I'd love to have you look it over. I warn you, I'm trying to make it a little dark, tense, and with Robin's critique I can see where it still needs a little more.

Absolutely-send to me whenever. We've got the Bristol race this wkend --actually leaving in a few-so I'll be working that both nights. I'll breeze back into work Monday and that's probably my first opportunity to read it, so take your time.
I am off cloud 9 --too busy with the race--but plan to soar again over selling the piece again, real soon. I just can't imagine what it will feel like to actually hold something in my hands and see my name/work. I know it's a limited audience-I think the circulation is church-related staff/subscribers, but still....
Hope you have a good wkend.!
